Last updated: June 8, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Checkpoint ("the app"), operated by Julianne Diamond ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading or using Checkpoint, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who can use Checkpoint

Checkpoint is intended for use by parents and guardians (age 18+) on behalf of their minor children. You must create an account and agree to these Terms before using the app. Child-facing features are operated under the direct supervision of the parent account holder.

Checkpoint offers a free tier and a paid Pro subscription. Pro subscriptions are billed through Apple's in-app purchase system:

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings. We do not offer refunds except as required by applicable law or Apple's refund policies.

4. AI-generated content

Checkpoint uses Anthropic's Claude API to generate agreement suggestions and other content. AI-generated content is provided for convenience and may not always be accurate or appropriate for your family's situation. You are responsible for reviewing and approving any agreements before they are presented to your children.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

6. Data and privacy

Your use of Checkpoint is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

7. Intellectual property

The Checkpoint app, including its design, code, and content, is owned by us. You retain ownership of the content you create within the app (agreements, family information, photos). You grant us a limited license to store and process that content solely to deliver the app's features.

8. Disclaimers

Checkpoint is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that AI-generated content will be accurate or suitable for your needs. Checkpoint is a parenting support tool — it does not replace parental judgment.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Checkpoint. Our total liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice. Continued use of Checkpoint after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Termination
